I just ordered the 2700k on Friday for $339. I fig'd it was only $15 more so whatever. I got this mobo to go with it:

if you cant boot under any condition, then you know the bios is not late enough for the 2700K, and you will need a lower grade CPU to update bios. It all dpends on inventory rollover. I'm an ASUS guy dunno if ASRock has a CPU compatibility list.

Just a heads up fwiw, Its Mar 2012 - you should be O.K.
