Just thought I'd let people know this was out there. Just picked one up yesterday, but I have seen them on sale for over a week. They have been sitting in the center aisle near the electronics department, so as to sell quicker Im guessing :p

My guess is that they are cleaning out their stock of them. Changes channels well, and has a beautiful picture.

Do me a favor... WHICH Walmart is this at? I've convinced a couple people at my local walmart to price match Walmart. I just returned a 20 inch tv yesterday for an unacceptable loud high pitched sound...

I also saw the 20 inch Symphonic TV's for 99 at my local walmart, but I inquired with a salesperson (who looked honest) and asked if they were good or crappy... he told me it was a really crappy brand, hence why they didn't have any plugged in as demos, and not to bother.

I'm just looking for something for the bedroom. (reason for larger tv in bedroom is I wear glasses, and don't want to need glasses while watching tv in bed before I go to sleep or when I wake up)

And final question: does it have an auto timer for sleep mode or for turn on time? I like to wake up to the news/weather instead of an annoying high pitched alarm clock.

My walmart (Olean NY) had a bunch of the apex 27 inch with dvd player built in... they wante 399 for them :Q
Shocked because apex dvd players are cheap, and I'd imagine their tv's are too...
I'd like to get a 27 inch for the bedroom though, but since it's just the bedroom, I don't want to pay much for it. It'd only be on about 20 minutes at night and an hour in the morning...

Anyone? Specific stores carrying the 27 inch tv's for 139?
Thanks!

What these tv's are is leftover Black Friday tv's. I'm guessing that they've either just recently cleaned a warehouse out or this store has tons of them still which I really don't think is the case. This is not a normal item for walmart to carry.

The apex tvs are cheap and shipped in crappy and cheap boxes too. We had only like 10 at our store and they are gone already thank goodness.

Walmart corporate policy is to never pricematch another walmart store. These tvs are not clearanced and are the same price they were on Black Friday.

I'm a walmarteer, feel free to pm me with any questions.

black friday leftovers... been tempted by these everytime I go to wally world. If they had svideo I'd have been all over it already.

I wish they actually had display models setup in the electronics dept so we could see how they look

My roommate who works there said there is a high return rate on these. Nevertheless I may just grab one someday with their employee discount

Bought a 27" two weeks ago. Limited features, good (IMO) picture. Made by Funai in Malaysia.

Checked out Funai and discovered they are the parent manufacturing company for Sylvania and Emerson. Would not buy their 20" flat screen. Same company but made in China.

Happy so far. :)
