27'' lcd tv..sceptre=unknown

i recently saw a sceptre?? 27" LCD HDTV TV, X27SV-NAGA III at costco/priceclub website for $999

i checked the specs of the tv on the manuf. website and although this is a fairly unknow brand specs seem pretty good. i remeber they jumped in the market with crt monitors a few years back that seemed ok, havent heard much of them since though

have been waiting for the quality to increase and price to decrease in the lcd tv market, guess now is the time

anyone know if these are any good??http://www.sceptre.com/Product...spec_X27SV-NagaIII.htm

Can't speak to their TV but I have seen several of their LCD monitors and they seem to be a good low end model.

i hope these things will be under $500 soon....would like to use one as my moniter

prob 4 years away though

even if you did get to use it on pc, it be at low res. like 600x800 ... Icons would be the size of a hand hehe : /

These accept a 1280 x 768 signal and are probably exactly like the Apex 27", the Olevia Syntax 27" and even the Aldi 27". They generally seem to be an OK tv and lots of people got in on the Staples Olevia deal and have lots of comments in that thread.

1280 x 768. 16:10 aspect.

I'm reading this on a Sceptre 19in lcd monitor.

I've a friend that's been using sceptre crt's since 98 and lcd's since late 2000. for the buck there isn't many as good. I've gamed on this particular monitor I'm on and while it's not as smooth "blurless" as some of the dells sitting here I've had no trouble at all with it. "the one I am on is similar to the tigerdirect model" I can only hope they are a low cost alternative to more expensive devices.
