My current graphics card is a Sapphire Radeon RX 6600 8G Pulse.
It is running three Asus 24" VG2148Q monitors.
I am considering changing the centre monitor to a 27" 4K along the lines of a Gigabyte M27UP.
My question is will my graphics cards cope with this setup or should I stick with a lower spec 27" 1440p upgrade?

As far as non-gaming it should be fine. Office, web browsing, videos won't be a problem. The RX6600 however won't do well for 4k gaming and 1440p is pushing it. It is better suited for 1080p gaming and not at max details. Depends on the game of course. What will you be using your screen for?

Your eyes are going to get jacked up and if your 20/20 that will decrease. Your gonna keep moving forward to see and read. It will be a mistake IMHO. 😲 Unless you take up the DPI, but that defeats the purpose of a 4k monitor ya know.

Nonsense. Text rendering is pretty bad for 1440p display at 27" without scaling. At 4K that wouldn't be an issue with some scaling.

I'd say 1440p is the sweet spot for a monitor this size (unless its for something really specific).
Going from 24" 1080p > 27" 1440p was a much, much bigger wow factor for me than going from 27" 1440p > 28" 2160p monitor. I'm using 200% scaling in Windows (I think 150%-200% is ok depending on your preference). 100-125% makes everything too microscopic.
Edit: You'll also have much better experience gaming on 1440p with Radeon 6600 if you're playing anything remotely demanding by 2025 standards.

If you are going to use 4k you need a bigger monitor. What nonsenes. It is a fact. This is why you should get a larger monitor and then at that point 4k will be very nice and a better experience.

I got the first 4k monitor pretty much everr at 2014. It was 28" Samsung and I need the real estate because I run a DAW and for this minimum 32" and once again no one talked about 2k resolution. I said 4k for a 28" which I still have it lingering in the house somewhere. Right next to the 28" 4k I gave to my dad, next to it was a 40" and it was so easy and clean looking fonts and pics. So I have been around. Have gotten other monitors at 4k but 40" inch is great for my dad. He runs dual monitor, and I am not stupid, the 28" Samsung which has not died he ised as secoondary. You want 4k without struggling with eye sights and 28" is too small. Now he uses the LG IPS matte I gave to him 42" and he has another 40" I gave him. At this size 4k makes sense. Thank you.

Isn't the font size on a 28" 4K monitor the same as a 14" laptop FHD screen? Even my old eyes can use that as native.

That is gossip my friend. Don't stress it, because things are soo small, and you will have real estate. But as far as compared a smaller 4k to a larger one, there is no difference. The 28" fonts are soo tiny, I can barely read it. But 4k with a 40" monitor and life becomes soo easy and its sexy as heck, and your eyes wont go bad and so on. 😲

My 4K display is only 23.6" it's fine.
The only problem is that I have to lean forward to read because text is small. It's a matter of personal preference and use case.
