Hi,

I've been searching for a monitor that can be used for both gaming and photo editing - without going to 4K which is very costly in terms of both monitor and GPU.
However, I haven't been able to find a monitor that satisfies the specs mentioned in the subject.

My budget is preferably around $700 excl. VAT although I would be ready to go up ~$900 if really necessary

I hope some of you might have a couple of suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

NOTE: I don't care about HDR in an LCD-monitor as it's never going to be really good anyway.

None that I know of.

Samsung has a 27" 1440p 144hz VA panel, but it's got pretty bad viewing angles, and only covers ~80% adobe RGB (about 96% sRGB) of the color gamut, and ~87% of the adobe RGB color volume (99% sRGB).

Also it's G-sync compatible, but not true G-sync.

Can't think of a panel that meets all of your needs.

Thanks for replying.
I've now concluded that such a monitor simply doesn't exist and I've decided to scratch the free/G-sync requirement along with the wish for a > 60 Hz display and go for a dedicated photo editing monitor.
