27" 1080p same pixel density as 34" 1080p?

Will I be OK with a 34" ultrawide 1080p monitor if I'm ok with a 27" 16:9 1080p monitor?

I'm planning to buy an ultrawide but the bump in price from 1080p to 1440p is almost double for most monitors. Everywhere I read on the Internet people say that you shouldn't go for the 1080p for anything larger than 24" because of the visible pixels contributing to poor picture quality.

Well it's never been a problem for me since I've been using a 27"1080p for a good 3 years now.
I have a 1080ti which I know can easily push the 1440p monitor, but I really don't know if it is worth putting in that much money for a few extra pixels and a lower refresh rate on top of that.
Thoughts?

They both have very close to or the same ppi so looks like both have the same clarity from my looking around on Google. Talking about the two 1080 monitors in the first paragraph in the OP.

PPI calculators on the net say a 34" Ultrawide 21:9 at 2560x1080 has almost the same PPI as your 27" 16:9 at 1920x1080 which is 81.6 to 81.7 PPI for both.

Articles on the net say they both have the same visual detail & PPI so that if you were to cut off the extra horizontal width of the ultrawide, they would be the same in clarity as they are with the whole ultrawide. That's with both at 1080 vertically.

Edit: Sorry this is getting long now but there's personal taste like mine with my past 1440 monitor. I preferred the bump up in graphics detail (in games.) It was a Samsung 27" 16:9 at 2560x1440, which is non ultrawide. It's PPI was close to 109 PPI which to me was clearer than the 92 PPI I had on my old Samsung 24" 16:9 at 1920x1080.

So I've never had a 27" 16:9 1920x1080 monitor which is close to 82 PPI like yours so I haven't made that direct comparison. But I could assume that my 1440 would look clearer.

And some extraneous info about where I'm at currently: My 1440 monitor is gone now given to a charity. I'm now playing on 4k PC systems with a PPI about the same, as the old 1440: 109-110 PPI on my 40" 4k screen (tv). And a PPI of 139 on my 32" 4k monitor. Both at 16:9 ratios.

So i agree that the 1440p will be much clearer and crisp compared to the 1080p but as a general understanding, is the bump in price(twice the amount) justified for 1080p to 1440p?
I have absolutely no problems gaming on my 27" 1080p panel right now. So will the pixel count be much more visible on the 34" 1080p?
 
Yes the ultrawide would be more immersive I think. I've never had an ultrawide because of worrying about games supporting the resolution. Not that I'm right in that concern.

Holy hell, now that's an extremely low price for an ultrawide 1440p panel. These seem to be priced lower than the 1080p ultrawides which is kinda perplexing.
I'll check out some reviews. Thanks.
