Has anyone been able to download these from the above linked site? It won't let me download them, says authorization is required. No other sites have given me this problem. Is something messed up with my browser?

I installed them and tried em out, 3dmark2001 doesn't work with them, you get a lost focus error when it tries to benchmark

however i was able to run a n-bench and my score went from 1925 to 1980, not like it really matters anyway

didn't leave em on long enough to game with em, went back to 23.12's

Try this link for the drivers, nice and fast.

Been running them for abour an 1.5 hours now.... thus far:

I noticed a very incremental improvement in visual quality in DirectX applications.... small enough that one would need to take a screen shot and compare side by side to really notice anything though. Still, it's nice.

Shockingly enough, I've had no issues with the ever annoying nv4_disp infinite loop bug at all.... if it hasnt shown up this far then I doubt it will.
These are the only Det4's besides the 21.81 that I havent encountered the infinite loop bug. (21.83's were quite good also though)

I got a small performance drop all around in both DirectX and OpenGL applications without FSAA... but it's only about 2% so I don't really care.
I did actually get an equally small performance gain in 4X FSAA though, with no performance difference at all with 2X FSAA.

I havent noticed any compatibility issues thus far, but I've only tested a handful of applications.
As soon as I installed the new drivers NVMax stopped having any effect though. GeForce Tweak Utility stopped working too.
Luckily I managed to get NVMax 4.0 Alpha to work after reinstalling it.

Overall I'm happy with them, I think I'll be sticking with the 27.10's unless I start running into any compatibility issues with them.

Hopefully others will be as lucky as I've been with these drivers in respect to the lack of the infinite loop bug.

well I reinstalled em and this time everything seems to work properly

7696 3dmarks @ default 3dmark2001 settings and gef3 ti200 @ 235/505, ok I guess, haven't seen 8000+ since the 22.xx dets :(

as for the drivers though, they seem stable and good to go

Well I tried them and it's back to the 2312s for me.

Unreal, Quake3 and Serious Sam were slower plus the drivers had an annoying tendency to reset my custom gamma levels everytime I changed a resolution in a game. Also I saw no evidence of better image quality in either Direct3D or OpenGL.

Finally, there were no real new control panel changes other than the nView thing which really doesn't interest me the least.

I will pass, been reading mixed results on the 27.10 drivers, some with crashes and lots of people still getting the Nvidia loop error ,at least it won`t be long now for the official driver release by Nvidia.

Completely fixed the infinite loop bug for me. :)
Perhaps I'm the lucky one though.

i tried these drivers on my tnt card (yes an original tnt card) in win2k and the first game (master of orion 2) i ran came up with artifacts and the cursor kept blinking out. so went back to 23.10 drivers.

Well, Poopies :(

No go here. Installed ok, booted ok, but when I ran 3DMark2001, I received an error message it couldn't initialize my video card.

Guess I get to stick with the 23.12 'til the NVidia release. Been having great luck with them, so it's not a big deal.

Thx for the link tho!

I have no problem with 3dmark 2k1.

I made sure to uninstall the 23.11 before installing the new ones, and have yet to see a problem.

That may very well have been it (my 3DMark2001 prob.), up to now, the "update driver" in XP has worked well and I didn't uninstall or run detonator destroyer..

may give it another try if I get a slow moment here... thx!

Looks likes mixed results, so I think I will steer clear for a while. However, I would not mind losing the "infinite loop" error...

Rand,I`ve only had the Nvidia loop error once since I installed the official 23.11 drivers on XP but as we know everybody`s system is slightly different so there will be different results with different drivers etc.

I still think it`s more of XP OS problem then Nvidia`s.

21.83's are like butta for me. Except for ONE DAMN PROBLEM: SUPSEND/RESUME on my monitor won't work. The monitor will turn itself off, and then when i wake it up it will show a black screen instead of my desktop. I dunno how to fix this other than just turning that feature off and manually shutting my monitor off. Any help?
