266 fsb mb support 333 fsb?

i was thinking about gettin a new processor...but my motherboard is an asus a7m266 and says in the manual it suports up to 266 fsb...so if i get 1 of these new 2800+ processors with a 333 fsb it wont work rite? do they make high end amd processors with 266 fsb?

best off getting a 2400+ thats the most widely (and highest rated)available 266MHz part out.

(There was limited production of a 266MHz 2600+ but it was soon followed by the 333MHz part and thus are hard to find)

Of course you can buy a 333fsb processor, but allow it to run at the 133fsb, and raise the multiplier to get the performance you want from the processor. Assuming your motherboard supports upping the multiplier.

know if any of the mini pcs from shuttle etc. have mboards that allow you to do this

Yeah there's two. Normal white colored case and theres a black case. Both of them have a nForce2 motherboard that should be compatible with 400MHz FSB Athlon XPs (read: 3200+)
