I bought a new 260x for my brother-in-laws Asrock extreme3 gen3 with a SB celeron processor, so he could run two 1440p monitors at once. but when I plug in the 260x it just comes up black screen. fans spinning, lights on. but it never boots. not even bios.
I have a seasonic 500watt psu installed. It's way more than enough to power the system. It's just for office work and surfing.
I put the card in my nephew's PC with an Asus H81M-K and OCZ 500 watt PSU without issue.
The mb is suppose to support pcie 3.0. but it doesn't act like it. I also checked for a new mb bios and asrock hasn't put out one in a while and probably never will.
The video card is a HIS iBoost 260x.
