You know, if you had gone 2500k, you would've just gotten over the hump for a better SSD in keeping with your budget.

If my budget opens up more i will go both quick ssd and 2600k.

But on the budget i think a faster processor will pay off for me.

Considering i game more then anything i would hate to have that should could have feeling 2 years from now with a 2500k.

Nice feeling to know i wont question the capability of the cpu with the games out soon and the next few years.

Rig is being built to last without dropping another dime into it.

I know its just beating a dead horse, but the 2600k isn't so much faster its going to save you from anything.

Does buy me a bit more time and that's exactly why the 2600k is of interest to me.

Thinking most chronic upgraders between now and 3 years would have went thru 3 cpus and maybe 2-4 video cards.

Aiming for the best i could afford with the longest shelf life.

Sold some other computer stuff i don't need now i have officially have $1150😀

Used to be a chronic upgrader but im looking to stop that.

I do thank you for giving me input and everything and i value it 100% but if im giving up the chronic upgrading game passing up bulldozer ivy bridge and whatever comes up in the next 2 years im going out with a bang

i7-2600/2600K + a Z68 or H67 motherboard, and you'll have an awesome HTPC board or board for a non-gamer in the family, with very low power consumption, once its time to upgrade to something else.

Although embedded graphics get poo-poo'ed around here for gamers, the Intel solution is actually quite incredible embedded-wise, especially for power consumption.
