I still dont get it. Whats the point of paying 1000k for a 980Xtreme when you can pay under 330 dollars and get better higher performance. ?
What's this " Higher performance " you speak of ?


It's funny how you don't get it, but you start multiple threads about why there are no 8 core enthusiast CPU's...

Intel has a history of "protecting" the pricing of the Extreme Edition CPU's. I don't mean not releasing faster cheaper CPU's when they become available, Intel can't help that, it's the forward march of microprocessor advancement. I'm talking about protecting the pricing of the Extreme Edition CPU's by pretty much never lowering their price. So if you buy and Extreme Edition CPU you can be assured that the price won't drop in 3 months. So if you want that performance, until the next line of CPU's comes out you're gonna have to pay for it.

Unless you overclock of course;)
