2600+ not being read properly?

I'm running win xp pro sp1 and have a ecs k7vta3 and a amd 2600+ processor (barton core). Earlier my cpu was running at 1.34 ghz, so I flipped some of the jumpers on the motherboard (to set the cpu freq to 166mhz). I then got like 1.8 ghz. So then I updated the bios for my board (because the site said I needed to in order for it to recognize the 2600+). Now in system properties it shows it as a 2600+, but says it's running at 1.91 ghz. Can some one help me get this here clocked to the proper speed of 2.1 ghz? Thanks!

The 2600+ barton chip has a lower stock clockspeed than the earlier non-barton 2600+. Your 2600+ is running fine if it is indeed the Barton chip. Use CPUz to see, if it's got the 512k L2 cache, yer golden.
