I got my IQYHA 2600 MPMW from Excaliber yesterday. I ran prime95 last night at 2800 MHz (215 x 13). :)

What voltage are you using and with what PSU?
Nice overclock :)

2.03 vcore. Fortron FSP 350W. It's watercooled. There's pics of the cooling in the link in my sig.

meh, if you have the money to spend on watercooling you have the money to buy another one when it burns out in 6 months.

As was pointed out in some other thread, according to official AMD white papers the Athlon chips are good for rated voltage + a bit, so around 2 volts isn't really too much out of the high end of the specifications. All that's needed is for the CPU to stay cool.

dang nice chip I can barely get 2.7 out of mine at 2.1V. normally run at 2.55-2.6 at around at 1.9V

Perhaps...if I ever managed to get watercooling, though, I know I wouldn't have enough to replace a CPU if I killed it sooner than expected. Being poor is no fun. Generally from what I've seen, is that even though the CPU adequately cooled, it's life expectancy is going to be quite a bit less at 2.03v, even if that's not the most extreme voltage. Oh well. He's not worried about it, so that's all that matters.

2.03V is pretty extreme (if that's actual voltage and not BIOS voltage...why do boards undervolt so much?), but it should last him a good year and a half if the temps stay down. That's longer than SOME people's upgrade path, though not mine.

correct max Vcore is 2.15v

Heres a cap of the AMD PDF

yeah that's what i've heard as being quoted as the highest voltage... 2.15

so 2.0 is perfectly fine. :)

but theres no way ill run over 1.975v actual without my S-TDX block....as those temps would be crazy high LOL

also, up to what speeds were you able to get it to at ~1.8V? thanx

I havn't benched it yet. I'm having too much fun playing all my games. I also just got a new 9800 pro that runs at 486/378 on water (no volt mods). I'm interested to see UT2003 benchmark and 3DMark01.

Sorry, I didn't test this cpu with any voltage less than 1.95. I wanted 2800 MHz, so I just popped it in at 2800 MHz with 1.95V and raised the vcore until it was stable. MBM5 shows the voltage much lower than the 2.03 I have it set to in bios. But my multi meter reads exactly 2.03 on the vcore mosfets, so....

A lot of people are getting great results with this particular stepping from Excaliber. Here's a thread about it at Overclockers.

I wasn't even going to get a new Barton because I already had one at 2500 MHz. But I was reading that thread and couldn't help it. At least now I will be able to wait a little longer to upgrade to an A64. I want to wait until people figure out which socket 754 board is the best overclocker.
