25F, thunder and rain...must be Iowa

I woke up this morning to find 1/4inch of ice covering everything outside. So, I proceeded to scrape the cars windows off. Fast forwad a few hours, it begins to rain and thunder. Please note that it is only 25F outside and the ground is covered with ice.

FUN!!

I had to drive across town, mostly low priority neighborhood streets. I think my 20 to 0 stopping distance was about 150ft. Then I got home, and couldn't drive up my fairly level driveway.

Now the lights are flickering on and off, and the branches of the trees are starting to droop. More fun to come!!

I've got two servers down and a T1 connection running like ass because of power outages and ice on the lines. Can't(or more like won't) go in to get things fixed because I *really* don't feel like driving right now.
 
I'm in minne, just south of that little red circle (w00t). In ~3 hours, i get to go and deliver newspapers. This WILL be fun.

same here, not driving 30 miles to bounce a T1 or 2
 
saw lightning while it was sleeting out. Kinda weird, but the air smelled fresh like it just rained while I was scraping 1/4" of ice off my windshield.

rain, sleet and hail here in MN. Got about an inch of ice pellets on the ground so it looks like snow. Not fun to drive in that is for sure.
