$257+ AGP 6600 GT

Is the price gouging on AGP 6600 GT's going to stop? I thought the BFG card was bad enough at $249+, but Monarch now has the eVGA AGP 6600 GT in stock for $257 + shipping. Aren't eVGA cards usually among the cheapest? And then I saw the A8N-SLIDeluxe for $325? What's going on with these guys (and other etailers)? Do you know anyone who would pay that much for a GPU with an MSRP of $199? And is there something special about the A8N-SLI Deluxe?

Just spend the extra 50 bucks and get the 6800 and unlock the pipelines. 16 pipelines vs 8 256bit vs 128. Well worth the extra 50 bucks. I believe outpost.com is still selling 6800's for 250.

Yeah it is ridiculous...they're trying to price-rape early adopters. At this point you're better off buying a 250 or 260 dollar 6800nu.

I'm looking for a card that includes an HDTV component output dongle. Thus, any 6800 is pretty much out of the question for me. I guess I'll keep waiting. Hopefully Zipzoomfly won't gouge the price on the eVGA model when they actually get it in stock (it's currently at $229.99). I'm also considering the MSI model, but since it has VIVO, it will probably stay locked in the $240-250 range.
