Most of you probably know about this, but for those of you that do not, Micron is currently THE place to get DDR RAM. The prices are MUCH lower than Mushkin, and you get free FedEx 2-day shipping (for a limited time) to boot! I wish I had a DDR MB...

Micron doesn't offer any PC2100 (133MHz*2 DDR memory) as of 17JAN2001.

i read at aceshardware.com that pc1600 can be safely overclocked to pc2100...stolen directly from aceshardware.com........

Micron just send us a 128 MB PC1600DDR DIMM (78$, CAS2) for review, so I tried them out on the Corona reference board of AMD, together with a Duron 600. This board forces a 266 MHz FSB, and the Duron (600 MHz, FSB 200 MHz) overclocked to 800 MHz.

What surprised me was that the PC1600 overclocked without any trouble to PC2100 cas 2.5! I tried several game benchmarks, and yes, the system is stable. Of course, this is only one DIMM, but it is still cool. Seems like Micron is getting very good yields on the PC1600 DIMMs. Maybe overclokkers will be able to buy PC2100 capable DDR for the price of PC133 SDRAM...
