ram prices seem to be stabilizing... Crucial is currently offering DDR ram at the same prices as SDRAM... so why not just grab DDR? But then again, not many DDR mobo's out yet, and they aren't proven in terms of stability. And just a note, the DDR they are offering is the slower kind.

Do you have a DDR motherboard or SDRAM motherboard. If you have SDRAM, you'll be upgrading that mobo for DDR.. so add all the prices in and see if you still want DDR...

As long as you have a relatively recent motherboard which you don't plan on replacing any time soon, I'd go with PC133. If, however, you're looking to upgrade your system, I'd recommend you wait a little bit for the more stable DDR motherboards to be released and then pick up some DDR RAM.

I agree with TonyT, i just upgraded and i thought about the whole DDR vs SDRAM question and in the end i went with the reg pc133 sdram mainly because of motherboard choices, there are MANY more stable mobo's out there for SDRAM`

I think it'll be quite awhile before DDR memory and mobo's become the norm out there in the computing world. In the meanwhile, PC-133 memory is the most widely used RAM.
