Went to B&M today to buy this stick of Kingston for a spare, but was surprised to find that the sunday ad RAM wasn't Kingston. It didn't have a brand, just a bunch of product codes and the "$9.99" after rebate price in bold. I saw the online RAM (which is labeled Kingston) and kind of assumed the two were the same item, and decided to pick it up instead of waiting for delivery.
So I picked up the inventory ticket and went to checkout, but when the register wasn't ringing up the instant savings or printing a rebate receipt, the cashier let me know that the ad RAM wasn't Kingston but she was cool about it and offered to ask the manager for an override on the original price ($74.99) and bring it down to the ad RAM price before rebates ($39.99). Then with the rebates from the booklet, I get the same final $9.99 price as the ad RAM. That was really nice of them even though it wasn't as advertised.
