wow I got a nice girl last night. She tryed to find the ram on Onvia website, but couldn't I think because she asked me for the exact address which I had already. After that she just gave it to me with the 40 off coupon no problem.

I called this afternoon and got a really friendly CSR. She told me she had to call onvia and that it may take a long time--then offered to call me back when she was done.
She was really helpful--we cracked a few jokes--pm & coupon went through fine--it'll be here on tuesday.

Well, shoot...

Can anyone tell me if this memory will work on my system?

Micron Millenia Max
processor info: S1854 AGP system board
chipset info: VIA Apollo Pro 133A:VT82C694X + VT82C596A
voltage & power: 3.3v DRAM support
current ram: 128M pc133

I have absolutely no idea what my ram is running at... like
2.2.2 or 3.3.3 etc... Is there a special program used to
monitor that?

Thanks for the help!

jkdude... how do you stack coupons? I called CS and they said thier policy only allows for one coupon code per order. If I could stack coupons I'd have that memory down to $54 in a heartbeat.

To check compatibility, go to crucial.com. See if that memory is listed with your motherboard.
As for stacking, you have to stack based on purchase dollar amount. Hence, you can't get it down to $54.

humble...it doesn't work as well as you hope. You must have enough dollar volume to account for each coupon. For instance...if you bought $450 in stuff you could use 3 $40 off $150 (if they exist) for a total of $120 off; or you could us 9 $20 off of $50 (if they existed AND would let you use this many) for a total of $180 off. Three seems the most CSR's will let you use now. You can use a combination of 3 existing coupons to make what ever total a little more pleasant to swallow, but current the best percent off coupon is $25 off of $75 and I believe there are only three available. The best combination possible would then be $75 off of $225, or 33% off of $225. You purchase could be for more money, so you might would want to use higher priced, lower percentage off coupons for a lower total price.

okay when I did place the order a couple of nights ago the CSR told me to call back the next day to see if the order went through. This is when the hell started. When I called back last night I got a CSR telling me the cancelled (Scratched how she put it) my order because they don't have any in stock nationally. I called back in about an hour and asked to check if they have any of these products in stock, then a CSR told me they did. Then when I asked why the other CSR told me it wasn't she asked me to hold so she can talk to her manager. She comes back and says that it is a computer error and that they don't have any in stock.

WHAT BS

Anyways I told her to just place my orignial order again, and I will wait and see if I get it.

I didnt really need the ram just wanted it, BUT now I am determined to get it to piss STaples off.

Staples is suck once again. They called me on the phone today to tell me that my order for the Crucial 256 MB is being cancelled because they (Staples) can't log on to their wholesaler's web site to place an order. Feh!

Well staples went ahead and canceled my order as well, even if they did have 340 in stock (which I confirmed with two different employees). Then I called back in and asked to replace this order and ask as to why this whole thing is smelling fishy, and the response after she called the warehouse who had called me to "scratch" my order as well was that they had no more in stock at the warehouse, despite after telling me there were 340 in stock nationwide. so I asked her how is it possible and the response was that they had a "stock discrepency" (short term lingo for BS we don't want to honor our price). So I asked her for corportate's telephone number so i can call and speak to someone from corporate as to why they've decided to give there customers a slow staples screw against the wall.

Am I missing something here? Crucial sells this for $163.79 at their online store with free 2nd day UPS delivery. Why can't you PM it with Staples to Crucial?

This is one instance I'm glad I got mine before I posted the deal. I really didn't think the deal all that hot...just good and warm. With all the deals for 128MB sticks I wouldn't worry so much if you can't get in on this deal. I settled for this 'cause I didn't get in on the 128MB deals a couple of weeks ago.

I have bought 2 256 PC150 and 1 256 PC133 from Step Thermodynamicsa month ago i have had no problems with them... also they have other pretty sweet deals. might want to check them out...

STEP ThermoDynamics' 256Meg 3.3V PC133 168-Pin SDRAM DIMM = $105.00*
STEP ThermoDynamics' 256Meg 3.3V PC150 168-Pin SDRAM DIMM = $130.00**

and they will take them back within 30 days if you have any compatibility issues including shipping...

My two cents.:)
