I have now in my system 256mb stick of Crucial PC-133 CAS 2, I'm wondering with prices so low would it be worth it to get another 256mb ? I'm running Win2K and right now only use my system for gaming, internet, and word processing. I do however plan on buying a digital camcorder soon and would like to edit my own videos. Would the extra RAM be worth it ?

I'd go for it.
Win2k can use massive amounts of RAM effeciently. And if you are planning of Video editing you want all you can.

'Course, ATM I'm running 411MB free on a totally untweaked install...so if you are just gaming or something it's probably a waste. But in your case I think it would be worth it.

Playing counter strike with gamespy and a few background apps pen, I often use around 280 megs of ram. Unfortunantly, I only have 256. I know I need sum more.

Hehe, I was wondering about that too. I'm a hardcore CounterStrike player too. When I'm playing, I usually have gamespy open, as well as mIRC w/ 10 channels open, and PunkBuster open also. I currently have a PIII 550 with 256MB PC100 RAM and I've noticed that even with that it drags some. Currently building a 1.4Ghz athlon dream/gaming system though, and I'm gonna put 512MB of Crucial PC2100 DDR in it. Problem solved ;P
