256 colors????

i just got an old game that i always wanted to play but never did.it's called bad mojo and it is probably 4-6 years old.my problem is ,when i go to install it stops saying i must be in 256 color mode.when i go to adjust settings my only two options are 16 and 32 bit. i tryed uninstalling nvidia drivers but still 16 and 32 bit are my only options.is there a work around? or a update to the software?i have looked around but have'nt found much. thanks for any help. i am running xp pro.
 
yeah that would work if i could install the game but it stops before it will install cause it's not in 256 colors!!is there a work around??
