Probably something light like a HD 34XX card or something... If you are lucky and it's good, it will pull something like a HD 4670... But that's doubtful. How many amps on the 12V rail do you have?

it cant be 22 amps on the 12V because that would be 264 watts and you said the power supply was only a 250 watt unit. you already have a thread on getting the 4670 and you should be just fine based on the rest of your pc. your entire comp wouldnt even pull 150 watts under load with a 4670.

what are you looking at? Not the PSU badge apparently 20Amps wouldn't be right either, and numbers are always given in WHOLE numbers

If it's a Dell 250 watt psu, it's rated at about 16 amps (12v+ rail).
If that case you should be looking at a 8600gt.

What is the game WAR ..I never heard of it.
Is it a dell psu? If so there underrated.

Edit. Oh I see its HP psu sorry.

The best I would go for with that psu is a 8500gt/8600gt.

It should easily double your fps speed. Integrated video sucks.

Ah well the thing is i haven't entered the game yet =P it checks your system to see if it meets minimum reqs. If you dont it will stop in a critical error >.> I was vouching for a 4670 so i guess that wont work right?

you can always jump on the EVGA 9600GSO deal for $60AR, then get a better PSU for around $30-40....

4670 + 250 watt psu = poof!

Na I wouldn't try it.

No way in hell. An 8600GT would be pushing the limits on that PSU. An 8500GT should work though.

Installing a new PSU isnt that hard. Everything is basically color coded so you cant really go wrong.

Last I seen there was a Antech Eartwatts 500 watt on sale for 50 bucks at NewEgg. You can find a cheap 9600 gso/gt cheap also.

Good luck.

My X2 4200+/2GB RAM/3HDD's/HD4850 pulls only 250w from the wall under load, which means 200w system load. (assuming ~80% efficiency).

Anandtech's test using an HD4670 with QX9770 had the system only pulling 140w under load.

Where is all this power consumption going to come from exactly?

Thats what im thinking. All the benchmarks show its pulling around 40-50W. I used a PSU calculator and a system like mines only pulls about less then 190W

My system was a Dell with a 250 watt psu that went poof . The psu did last about a week. My system is a single core with a 7800gs. It's not about the watts it's about the 12v+ rail amps and the efficiency of your psu.
I'm pretty sure Dell psu's are better then HP's as I hear they are underrated. So I have some real world experience with this.

I wouldn't take the chance.
