250MHz 604ev - $0.99 + s/h at macresq.com

saw it and thought it might be worth mentioning... dunno if this is a valid processor for any old mac for which "PCI" G4 upgrades are advertised (those don't actually go in a PCI slot they go in a slot that to me looks like this). Maybe a cheap upgrade for a current 603 machine? Hell if I know, but it sounds like a deal at 99 cents.

personally I'm looking for a cheap G3/G4 ZIF upgrade for my beige G3 (currently a whopping 233MHz!) hint hint

Found a set of info here on xlr8yourmac.com. It would appear that these are also known as the "Mach 5." Another good review is
here.

I was going to pick one up, but I seriously doubt it'll work in my PowerMac 6500...appears to specifically be for the 86/9600's

Just bought four for I think $9.55. These will be great to take apart and have fun with. I am pretty sure if I remember correctly, these have very similar chips on them (size wise) as some chips on the PS2. If you're planning on modding one, then pick a few up and try to solder onto it.
