Hi Everyone, I currently am using a I7 2600K which I have OC to 4.5 ghz using 1.35 volts.
On another machine, I have installed a I5 2500K. Based on some of the threads I have read, it sounds like I should be able to get 4.5 ghz using 1.35 volts on the I5.
My question is on the "sweet spot" overclock
While on the I7, when I stress test, I hit anywhere between 68-71c at my current speed, I recently read a message that stated something like
"I needed 1.35v for 4.5, but only needed 1.28v for 4.4".
Is this correct? I was wondering what speed changes you've seen that has required less voltage?
Thanks
