2500+ retail vs 1800+ guaranteed stepping?

Given that they would be about the same price, and I'm starting to itch for an upgrade from my 1700A.

The 1800+ would be JIUHB DLT3C, BTW.

Thoughts?

depends on your ram i'd say. if you can only get to 200 FSB then the barton definetly, but if you can get above that then the 1800+ might be pretty dang sweet

it depends on the week of the 1800+, generally speaking, i would say the 2500+

depends on the price difference. extra cache gives a small boost in some apps, none in others. so clock speed still matters. that 1800 should hit 2.2ghz min. 2.5 with very good cooling.

if you could find it, jixhb is even better. 2.6ghz +
