2500+ FSB increase worth it?

I currently have a Barton 2500+ running at 12.5 x 176 on an L7S7A2. The motherboard only supports 333 so the FSB is as high as it will go. Would there be much performance advantage gained by getting a motherboard that would run 11x200?

thanks

I use it mostly for gaming and web surfing.

depends on if you need any other features upgraded or not. you will get a higher cpu and memory bandwidth speed, but it's up to you to decide if that's really worth the $ for a new mobo. i'd say as long as your comp runs your stuff, then not really worth it.

what's your setup? the $ for a mobo might be more helpful elsewhere

Just for the sake of getting to 11x200 go with any of the many low budget NF2 400 boards. You will get a performance improvement that while small might be just noticeable in stressful apps, like games, and video editing. You can pick up a single channel NF2 for less than $60 like the Biostar M7NCD or the Chaintech 7NJL3. Both are low end NF2 boards that will provide you with many OC options. Keep in mind that your current 746 chipset is pretty stable and fast.

I'd have to agree... if the machine suits your purpose now then now worries. But it's the next upgrade path.
You may want to experiment with a lower multiplier & a higher fsb... The wife has an A7V333 mobo, it's running a 2500+ @ 10.5 x 190.
