I'm looking for a few opinions on which to go with...it seems that in general the 2600+ would o/c a bit higher (my friend got a 2400+ to 2400mhz easily with no voltage raise) but the Barton has a bigger cache...they're both about the same price...

THe Barton IMO would be better. The 2500+ also oc just as well if not better than a 2600+. And the larger cache does give it a small advantage in the speed department.

Some benches for ya ...

My XP2600 in my sig has this CPU score in Sanda 2003 9.44 (2205 Mhz)

8192 / 3384

My Barton in my KX7_333 runnin 12 x 189.9 = 2280 Mhz

8470 / 3439

as you can see very close ... but I have my XP2600 at 220fsb
(my Barton wouldn't handle 220)

Do all Bartons o/c pretty well or am I looking for something in particular? Also, would throwing a 1700+ "B" into the mix change anyone's choice?
