as some of you know, i've been planning on building an Athlon system in the near future. i was originally going to be getting a 0302 T-Bred B 2100+ and an NF7-S Rev 1.2 motherboard. however, it looks like i'm gonna have some extra money soon, and i've been looking at the 2500+. does anyone know how well these have been overclocking, and is it worth the extra money over the t-bred? also, with the Vantec Aeroflow be sufficient for a highly overclocked Athlon at 1.85 volts? i'm only asking because they are so cheap. if the answer is no, i'll be getting an SLK-800U and a panaflow 92mm fan (check the cases and cooling forum for nice pics of a 92 mm fan mounted on an SLK-800). thanks!

good question...bumping because i'm interested. I think I may have fried my 2100+ and am debating replacing it with same or moving on to the barton. Does anyone know if the Barton is multiplier unlocked by default like the tbred b's?

My Tbird 2100 0302 does 2405 on my NF7-S rev 1.2 with SLK800 at 1.8 vCore. 100% solid. 42c idle 51c load.

Awesome.

I have a Barton 2500 due Monday. I doubt it will do as well but I will let you know.

it's all mostly a matter of how much money you wanna spend
they are overclocking about the same
just with the barton you get maybe 200-300mhz performance by way of the cache

depends on yur money situation really

i can afford the 2500+, most likely. if they are overclocking the same, then i would just pick up the barton.

My 2500+ Barton on the NF7-S performs optimal @ 12.5 x177 and 1.775v's...It will not multiply any higher then 12.5 without modding and runs a little hot @ 2.3GHz and 1.825v's on air...I've had a 1700+ on it at the same speed...
