2500:1 or 20000:1?

I have a choice between an Acer 2500:1 - 5 ms X223Wbd and an Acer 20000:1 - X223HQB. The 20000:1 model is cheaper than the 2500:1 screen. How come, is the greater contrast not better?

for all intents and purposes it's a worthless, made up spec that doesn't even have consistency among most manufacturers own product lines.

buy whichever monitor has the best reviews. if you can find in=depth reviews of either of them, they probably include tests that indicate the actual competency of the monitor at reproducing blacks.
