$250 to replace my Z-5300e?

Hi,

Actually i bought the Logitech Z-5300e for a few years.
I have only hooked up with 2 speakers + sub from day one till now.

I play mp3 and games (fps) most

For around $250, is there something good enough to replace my 5300e?

So what you're saying is for $250 you want a better 2.1 system than the z5300s with 2 speakers hooked up?

You're looking at $100+ for a receiver (unless you go used), so I'd get a receiver and a pair of bookshelves for $150 (see yoyo's general audio thread for a couple of suggestions) and reuse the z5300 sub with the receiver until you have more money to upgrade it.

z5500s are around that price.

And soundcard wise.. THINK About buying an Xfi then modding it. OR you could get the same thing with an Azuentech branded X-Fi
