I was looking for a small desk and drove all around town for a good price, saw nothing under 70 bucks until i saw office max had a clearance on some desk sets, i saw these online before and they were $79, but now labeled as $25 bucks and dropping. They are clearing out their stocks on these two models apparanty.

Thanks to jatwell, the links are back without session ids
O'Sullivan Four-Piece Oak Workcenter for $25 bucks or less

and I also saw this one, kinda cheezy good for kids i guess

Jelly Workcenter also for $25 or less

they both are suppose to be $120 originally, and online lists them as $79, B&M store dropped it down to $59, then $49, then $29, then finally with a clearance sign of $25.. so it can still go down. I got 1 of the 8 O'Sullivan desks left. Seems like they have a lot to get rid of.

The office max i went to was at Irvine, CA. Seems like they are getting rid of these everywhere since they are doing 40% off these things on the web.

I wouldn't suggest using it for a actual computer desk if you have a big monitor, but as a side desk since the main one is usually taken up my the computer. :) Or a computer desk for the kids. :)

I think you can call your local B&M Office Max, doesn't seem to be something the sales rep would hog to themselves like the last MP3 player deal. I would give these as gifts if they weren't so big and heavy.

I logged out of the office max account, and then redid the links, kinda weird, the person on it wasn't even me. I guess Office Max screwed up somewhere. BTW where do you guys find the credit card info?

Rosebud's right, better change those links quick. I can't believe that OfficeMax shows full credit card numbers after you've entered them. Nice Deal on a cheap desk though.

I reported this to OfficeMax as a security breach (this should NOT ever happen) and reported it to Slashdot and CNN's Technology division. The response from OfficeMax was "oh yeah, this has happened a few times before". Ouch!

Office Max's website uses a web software called broadvision(BV). BV keeps track of your session with something called s session ID that is supposed to be unique for each user that logs in. It stores the sessionID in the URL, so when you cut and paste the link, you are passing on the session ID. Then when Joe Schmoe from Anand comes over and clicks on the link, Office Max's website thinks it's the same person everytime. And Office Max SHOULD encode credit card info, and just show the last four digits of it. I work on a site that uses BV, and that is how we work with our CC... enter once and you never see the entire # again.

I like the Jelly work center. Looks cool. See if any are available local.

Yes, do indeed edit the link. I made the same mistake over a year ago. Thankfully, a thoughtful member brought it to my attention, and a thoughtful moderator edited it. Bailed me out within a few minutes after I posted.

He drove around and found the deal in Irvine, CA, but the credit card and shipping address is in Massachusetts? Perhaps it's not his real info so he's not worried? When you think about, he bought it at the B&M store, not on-line, so why the heck does he have this item in his cart with billing information? Strange...

Noticed this last week with a OfficeDepot posted link, saw 4 peoples accounts checking the on the deal at different times. Luckly for them no CC info, but it appeared that they didn't logout at the end of their session. Doesn't appear you can logout at OfficeMax. Scary

Mister 2 U,
I know what you mean, I am from Wareham but living in Ft Walton Beach Florida. I miss Marc Anthony's. Their pizza is wicked awesome. I will be moving back to that area when I get out of the Air Force this spring.

I removed the links totally, so no more office max mess up. I remember opening a new window when i was looking for these items to post, but i didn't log in. I am assuming the session IDs keep track of who ever was using that session. I guess who ever clicked my link and logged in left the info on the session. How weird. Who ever it is that lives in New Bedford, I'd call Office Max to make sure. I logged out for you over an hour ago.

Hmm...looks like the 4-piece is designed for desktop CPUs, not towers, but at $25 bucks, who can complain? Hell, you could buy this as a gift for a college student and store it in the box until you get an oppurtunity to give it as a gift.

Hey Neon Tetra,
Can you email me a scanned copy of the receipt so I can use it at the store? Much appreciated.
