25 or 49 key MIDI controller

I've been thinking about getting a MIDI controller to aid in doing home recordings and I wanted to get some advice on how many keys I should get. I went to Guitar Center the other day and saw the Novation X-Station and pretty much fell in love with it. It's got pretty much all I need in one package. I really like the amount of knobs and sliders on the control surface AND it has a built in USB MIDI Port, audio interface and a full featured synth to boot! It would be perfect for controlling my recording software as well as software synths on my computer.

I'm still debating, however, on weather I should get the 25 key or 49 key version. Right now I already have a 61-key Korg DW-8000 wich I use as a MIDI keyboard. I'm going to be using it with my laptop which means having the 25 key version would mean I can travel with it (it can be powered from batteries or the USB port), but on the other hand 25 keys seems a bit small. Any advice?

That one seems a little silly, but I have no idea what your musical style and tastes are.

I'm currently debating between three different 88-key controllers. CME are nice, but there's an issue with some of them losing their settings. M-Audio's stuff is inexpensive and light, but tends to break. I'll end up going with a Studiologic model, I think.
