Seems like a hot deal to me. I've been using my Apex AD-1201 DVD player for several months now and it plays everything that I throw at it.

FYI, if you can wait a few days for shipping. I think this is a better deal (IMO) - AD-2600 APEX 39.99 (AR)

Still, great deal if you know you are not going to need Progressive Scan.

Not to thread crap, but how would the $29 Apex AD-1135 from Wal Mart stack up against this one? I've seen some negative reviews about the AD-1225 on dvdrhelp.com. I did a search for AD-1135 and could not find it anywhere. Not even on Apex site. The picture of it in the Wal Mart ad looks like it might be a new model as it has better styling than most Apex players. Funny thing is that it's not even listed on the Wal Mart site yet. Just in the flyer. If it's anything like the 1100 I'm in.

I just went to sears tonight and bought this for $27-$5 coupon=$22 out the door. - $5MIR makes it $17...Though the coupon is expired now, wish I had seen this earlier to post here.

I wish I had gone to Sears yesterday, could have saved $5 more!
