Yeah, use a Molex connector on the fan. 12V will usually run a 24V fan, albeit at a much reduced rate. Shouldn't pose much threat to your PS either.

It's true, I'm using two 24v 120mm Panaflos in my full tower, one as front intake and the other as rear exhaust. Very quiet at 12v, yet they still move a fair amount of air. I have them on a switch, when active they produce about a 6C drop. Only run them during the hottest part of the day during the summer months.

I have found that some 24v fans will not spin at 12v. I bought a bunch when an online electronics supplier had a sale. About half of them wouldn't run at the lower voltage.
