Sorry about that title.

Now onto the good stuff. I have some 24v fans plus something of which I have no idea what it is or what it goes to. I am trying to get some help on how to run the fans (I thought a dc to dc converter might work but have very limited knowledge) and what the side panel looking thing is and if I can just use that since its what the fans originally came hooked up to.

So pictures~ The connector looks to be a male 24pin connector and the fans are 24volt papst fans which don't even spin up at 12v (I've tried). The wording on the PCB leads me to ControlRes.com as the manufacturers. It is apparently in there smartfan lineup but beyond that I have no idea how to hook this up. I can even find female to female 24pin connectors.

If you use the power from yellow and blue, you will get 24 volts. Yellow= 12v and blue= -12v

This goes to the motherboard and is part of the motherboard connector, and I don't think it has much capacity, so not sure how many fans you could reliably put on there without causing issues to the motherboard. A DC power converter may work too. Not sure if there are some that will up convert though. It would almost need to have an inverter and a rectifier. At that point may as well just have a separate 24v power supply.

Yea you need a 24v power supply. Get yourself a 24v iwaki pump while you are at it.
