24hr fitness.. going a little too far?

the 24hr fitness by me is redoing their roof, and the place is full of tar fumes... however, because they are "24 hour" fitness, they remain open. when you take a step in there you almost wanna throw up and pass out from the strong tar fumes.

shouldn't they close while they do this?? i mean, i know its my choice to go there, but it seems very weird that they would even remain open. seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

i can't just go to another one, cause i have a 3 month summer membership that is only good at that one 24hr fitness.

Go in and tell them your troubles. Say it's undesirable and ask for a refund. They should either give you a refund or work out a deal where they'll transfer your membership

I would get a refund and walk. Management that's dumb enough to think this is safe will do worse and you don't want to be around for that.

I suggest you find a new place to work out.

thats true.. i should ask for a temp pass to workout somewhere else in the mean time..

didnt really think of that, but they HAVE to honor that...

Your choice, but I have to say that I doubt that it's very safe to be sucking air like crazy on a treadmill while it's heavily tainted by tar fumes.
