I got this deal at the 24hr Fitness off of Saratoga in the Bay Area.
I'm not sure which city it's at, since I just moved to the Mountain View area.

So my deal is $810.88 for the first 3 years, then $20 a year after that.
It's actually $470.88 for the first 3 years, but you also have to pay for 5 Personal Trainer sessions and a weight loss/muscle gain pak (one or the other)

This is for the Sports Club membership. They've got three kinds it seems.
Regular club, sports club, and super sports club.
The Super sports was like some executive level club... (they only have 3 in California and it was like $1200 buy-in and $234/year after)
The sports clubs covers facilities that have basketball courts, pools, racquetball, etc.

So I can use regular and sports clubs nationwide with the membership and pay a daily fee for the super sports ones (if I ever have to use one). The lady said the fee is about $10... so I'm assuming it'll be $10-20.

So that's
470.88 - first 3 years
290.00 - PT sessions
050.00 - weight loss pak
---------
810.88

So if you're going to be a 24hr fitness member for several years, this might be a good deal.
(Who knows... maybe you can sell the weight loss pak)

I'm not sure if this is just this 24hr fitness or if you can find it at others.
She mentioned some 20th anniversary, but again, unclear if it's for 24hr fitness or just the facility I signed up at.
I was told it started last tuesday and is valid only for a week.

I didn't get it until now.

seems like a lot of money, but well worth it if you plan on using the fitness center for 8+years. But I guess if this place is nationwide and you are have the energy to go to a gym for that long it may be a good deal.

For myself I could get 6 years at the YMCA for the price of your three years, but then quickly lose ground after that.

Forgot to add.

This membership is good for ANY regular or sports-club centers nationwide.

this looks like a decent deal except the fact that you have to pay for the training sessions.

i still have my membership from Bally's where i started for $333 for the first 3 years then $6/month after that. but then again, that was 7 years ago. they have raised my monthly membership to $9/month since then.

if you can convince them to forego the training sessions, this would be a super deal.

The website is pretty much useless for this kind of deal.
You have to call the gym itself and ask what specials they have, since each one seems to be able to run their own specials.

Yeah, if you can forgoe the PT sessions, it would be a great deal.

My club recently started doing a $19 down $19 a month deal again. I don't know the details but I'm going to assume a 3 year contract is involved.

The $810 you can probably get down lower. Earlier this year I signed up for Sport club - 3 year for about $952 after tax. My cousin told me he paid $700 for his Sport so I tried canceling mine at a different 24HF. The manager there talked to me and basically said he'd give me a new plan (on Fitness though) with no training sessions for about $640 after tax. Hell of a deal.

$500 is a good deal. When and where did you sign up? It would be nice to get down to $20-$50/year after that.

They've been advertising it for quite a while. Well, not advertising, but offering these prices. My mom got something like that a few months ago w/ some amount for 3 years and then $20 a year after. Not to thread crap of course since this does seem like a nice deal, but thought to give u the head ups. Its all sale tatics, crap like just started recently and ending soon or whatever.
