24GB SSD Cache

well I've got this laptop with the regular hd and an 24GB SSD Cache. I upgraded to an SSD on the regular hd and after cloning it, it does not recognize the 24gb anymore. Only files I see are what looks like drivers on the 24gb. Is there a way to get this 24gb cache recognized in windows 8 so that I can use it for storage or does it only work in conjunction with the regular hd?

Might have to use CTRL-I on booting to get to the Intel RAID setup and turn off the 24GB's "drive caching" flag. Then you can enter Windows and use hardware manager to recognize the unformatted 24GB drive and set it up for regular use as a plain old drive.
