2496 core gk110 card

$900? The 2nd tier is typically ~$100 less. It will likely have severely gimped O/C'ing ability. They wouldn't want it to compete too much with their $1000 masterpiece.

Question is.. will this be under the titan brand or the 6x0 series brand? Probably the thing that will dictate the price.

I think it will be the top tier gtx 700 series card. I see the kepler refreshes coming right around (either before or after) this card's release.

As much as a rip off as Titan is, I think this would be an even bigger rip off if it's $800. 40 ROP's at ~850 mhz (I'm guessing the clock speed here) will end up having the same ROP power as the gtx680. Bandwidth will only be 25% better than the gtx680, so I'm guessing this card will end up either splitting the difference between Titan and GTX680, or more likely, it will end up slightly closer to gtx680 in performance than Titan. Nvidia might as well castrate DP performance with this card, label it gxt780, and sell a 5gb version for $650, and a 2.5gb version for $550. I think those prices are still high, but I think it's something Nvidia can get away with.

A good way to gauge this card's probable performance would be for a Titan user to clock their vram down to 1250mhz (5000mhz effective), and run the core at 800mhz or so. That should give very close performance to what this card will end up at at stock speeds.

Good god, no thank you. I can easily hang on until the 770's or maxwell. I am sticking to the two cards at about $400 each formula, unless a single card is faster for the same price and not $200 more.

A cut down Titan will struggle to beat a cheaper and faster HD8970 I would imagine.
The Tahiti Block 3 processor with all the latest refinements may well bring a surprise at launch ala RV770 HD4870.
