If it was $200, it would be a deal. $250 is kind of Meh for an i3 that's 1366x768. Oh, and Newegg is expensive for laptops.

Considering most $249 laptops are Celerons (or worse, Atoms) & those go on sale for $199, I'd say $250 for an i3 is a pretty decent deal.

The problem is they're still shipping these with 5400rpm hard drives. Sure you get a terabyte...of slowness :p At least the Atoms come with eMMC SSD's so they're decently zippy!

Well, I picked up some Lenovo B50-45 A6-6310 quad-core AMD laptops with similar specs (and Win7 Pro) for $200 ea. So that's the yardstick I'm using. (The 6310 is a tad higher on Passmark for MT score than the Haswell U i3 CPU.)

Edit: I was just looking at BestBuy's lower-end laptops, and they wanted like $330 for their cheapest i3, so I begrudgingly agree that this is a decent deal.
