Anyone know where I can get 240mm case fans? I just got an In-Win Dragon Slayer case and the side panel has mounting holes for four 120mm fans or one 240mm fan. I'd rather have the single 240mm fan.

You're right. I assumed a 240mm would fit, but looking at the spacing of the 120mm fans, it's larger than 240mm and smaller than 250mm. There's small gaps between each 120mm mount. I'll just go with four quiet 120mm fans.

lol yeah there is no native 240 size.

We assume at that point like the CM Stacker series, you will put 4 fans in it to make 240mm.

REMEMBER! at fans over 140mm the screws usaly is not as wide as the fan size itself. i have some 230mm fans and the screw holes are about 155mm in between. and the 240/250mm fans (idk what ones exist, but i have holes for it on my case) has screw holes witch are fitted with a 230mm gab between each screw.. As said, fans bigger then 140/180 usaly have round edges to fit in front and top's to fit in cases! :p

OP can you measure the case and see if the holes will fit an even larger fan?

with those mounting holes itd only take the 4 120mm fans. those large fan structure are circular in shape but those holes would require a square shaped structure.

Yea but I mean something like a 30cm fan might mount into the holes available. Go big or go home right? :D

Actually, the initial necro was the post above his, by lianqzzx. I just want to say wow to an 8A fan, 1550CFM, that has got to be ear piercing, I wonder if it undervolts, :p

It'll undervolt as it's AC. It may not start at 25V though. Could be a cool project :)

If I had a case big enough for one of those I would give it a try. Would be kinda cool if it worked...if not I'd only be out $20.

Don't feel bad, if you would have started a new thread, someone would have posted a link to this thread and screamed "REPOST!"

Nobody really cares, they just like to complain one way or another. :)

???

It says it is a DC 12v fan, which makes sense because that is all you are going to get from a car. The only alternating current made on a car is sent through a rectifying bridge and turned into DC. It should probably be noted that AC motors are a lot more picky about undervolting than DC ones.
