scroll down a bit for links to japan reviews of the thing. someone took the time to translate part of the reviews into english about 3/4 of the way down. banding is there, not as bad as the 2007WFP for sure but its definately evident, also there seems to be some sort of problem when viewing text anyway check out the review for yourselves, but this is definately not as promising as what i had expected. sigh.
 
Yup. Just buy when you see a product you want at a decent price.

Doesnt pay to wait forever for the next new thing.. just buy what is good today and be happy!

2005FPW and 2405FPW buyers rejoice! The purchases were not in vain and turns out the old product is better than the new.
I dont see the point in waiting which is why I bought when I did.. found a decent priced 20inch widescreen with fast response time and dived in (2005).

Happy as a clam (had the screen for about a year+ now)
