Trying to not deal with the color banding or the text ghosting problems - wondering if anyone has the US version and if the A01 revision (assuming they're shipping that to the US) has solved both those issues (because with an astigmatism, I certainly don't need -additional- ghosting on text, heh).

Latest conclusion. Everquest II has a bit of inherent banding in the sky and with some spell effects. I received an A01 panel and Gradlin has no banding worth noting when Everquest II is not running (windowed mode). Most banding noticed in windowed mode disappears when changing to full screen. All in all, I'm satisfied and keeping it.
 
I'm really intrested in this also. I'm about to order a 2407 in Canada and am wondering if i should hold off....
 
Admittedly I didnt understand your question, now that I do, this is very annoying to me.

I bought an x850xt in Feb 06 and have noticed text ghosting occasionally. I too also suffer from astigmatism. I thought this might be a card defect and was thinking about RMAing it.
 
Well I took the plunge and ordered one with a 25% off coupon, so I'll be sure to post my results when it arrives.
 
I ordered one on monday. I've read in the dell forums that only orders after the 9th will be banding free for sure....mine has been in processing for the last 2 days so i may get lucky.
 
I recently got a 2007 that has been known to have the banding issues also. I did notice the problem but playing around with the settings fixed it up.
 
Just got it hooked up. I'm not sure what to do with myself. It's amazing. Testing for banding now.
 
Well, my joy seems premature. The banding in Everquest II is unmistakably bad.

Unmistakably bad in windowed mode, problem nearly disappears in full screen. And I'm seeing some of what I thought was a monitor issue appearing in screenshots.
