If you are bothered by normal monitors "flickering" at 60Hz, then you may want to rethink the graphics card to drive it. Using a 6800GT that was overclocked to Ultra speeds, there was very noticeable flickering in the lower 25% of the screen as it was trying to render the ground movements. I noticed it, my friend who has the 2405FPW hadn't noticed it at first until I showed him. Now it bugs him.
Swapping to a 7800GTX, or 7800GTX SLI smoothed it out nicely.
Though you may get it to not stutter so much there by lowering options to compensate for not enough GPU power.
But I build my systems to play games at high resolution with nothing held back, and it wasn't handling the large monitor well.
I have the 7800's and wanted to verify that the problem was the video card driving it, and not something that was inherent to the monitor.
