Oh the misery. I have had this panel for 1 week. I did a color adjustment yesterday, and later that night after playing BF2, which looked the best it ever has with the new adj., a damn stuck red pixel floated tits up on my screen. I searched for 2 months for a pixel perfect screen, got it, and one week later, soiled.

If I wasn't such an imperfect perfectionist the stuck pixel probably would be too small to notice. The red pixel is buried 6 inches from the right and 7 inches from the bottom. RIP you little POS.

I tried to massage it with my finger, is that bad? I tried the program that flashes colors at it, same thing, stuck red. Yet the pixels is undetectable on a blue login screen. What is the advantage of the eraser? Thanks for the condolences.

The pencil eraser has inverse charged rubber ions that energize the dormant argon in the pixel, which invokes the artesian effect.

Heh-sorry.

My condolences as well. :(

The stuck pixel thing is a bitch.

Yes that would piss me off as well. Odds are that it sucks royally now, but it won't be quite as sucky once you get accustomed to it. I had an Old POS laptop back int he day with one dead pixel right in the middle of everything it seemed, and eventually I learned to ignore it.

My condolences on your loss. :(

I have had mine for a month, still no stuck pixels. If it bothers you, call Dell. They will RMA for almost any reason.

You bought a $1000 monitor off of eBay?? I'm not sure what's a bigger problem, your stuck pixel or the fact that you'd get something that expensive off of eBay.

Hmm, I'd still trying calling customer service. If they're any good, they should let you RMA it.

I've gotten every video card off of Ebay for the last 4 years, I always save at least $100, and have never had a problem with Ebay. The secret to Ebay is researching peoples feedback thoroughly and then paying with a credit card through Paypal, many fail safes in that plan. This monitor was $200 cheaper than retail, and perfect the day I got it, untill last night, that could happen to anyone. The 2405 I got was made in August 05 and was revision A04. I will try calling them and let you guys know how Dell feels about my situation.

I took a sharpie and just marked the red pixel black, heh.

Thanks for the replies guys.
