2405fpw HELP

just purchased a 2405FPW from another user and i would like to know how to check the screen.
this is my very first Flat panel screen and i want to know how you go about giving your LCD monitor a thorough checkup to see if there are any Backlighting and or dead/stuck pixels issues. is this done visually or are there any programs that can assist in this?

Set your XP screensaver to 'blank' and wait time= one minute. After a minute you'll have a black screen. That should give you a chance to see backlighting. If you don't see it with normal usage, you might not want to go off looking for it cause you'll probably find some.

I wouldn't even bother to look. Whats the point. If you aren't noticing it just by normal usage when you DO find something it will annoy you...

My 2005FPW has one dead pixel, I never really notice it unless I'm looking for it. Backlighting is fine too. 🙂

I use Nokia Monitor test for all my CRT and LCDs. Haven't found better program and it's free.
