2405 hdtv w/ laptop

2 quick questions,
i got a dell d610 with the mobile radeon x300, hooked onto a docking station with one dvi port.

im pretty sure by now that it will be enough to drive the 2405, but i read somewhere that you can hook up two dvi ports from the same graphics card to the 2405 (for faster response on games), is this true? im a little confused

im not planning to play games, but will my setup be enough to drive the 2405? i dont wanna run it off vga. please give me a simple yes/no answer.

2nd question: i looked but found no simple reviews/comparisons of dvd decoders,
which one is widely considered the best one? i have power dvd 5, is theatertek or windvd a lot better (im only talking about image quality), or is upgrading to powerdvd 6 worth it?

Ummm the simple answer is NO, that won't speed anything up for you.

no my computer will not be able to drive it or yes my laptop/x300 will support the 2405....

Yes, it will drive it. No, dual link DVI will do nothing for you.

Just dL any old codec.
