Hey guys, I'll be getting my 2400+, Epox nForce2 mobo, Corsair memory soon. I plan to OC it immediately. Need to know what I can expect, or rather, what speed I could potentially run this rigg at. So if u've got a 2400+ and have OC'd it, please post your OC. If there's already a thread of this nature, please post a link to that thread. Thanx in advance.

xp2400+ @ 2250 (13.5 x 166) memory in sinc on a kt400 motherboard @ 1.75 vcore. Will get higher soon (like tonight) but my motherboard won't allow me to up the vdimm and I have some funky error-ridden memory.

Oops, can't pass this even by upping the vcore; other folks probably have better results!

Hmmmm. Lookin good so far. I'm lookin for at least 2.2Ghz. One more question guys, what cooling are you using? What are your idle & full load CPU temperatures? Especially you bootoo, your OC is basically what I'm lookin to achieve. Thanx guys.

If I may make a suggestion............... I think the 2400+ is not the best choice. Get yourself a 1700+ "L" chip. Mine does 215x11=2365mhz @ 1.7v. Here is where you can buy it: ExCaliberPC The price is $73. Or you can go to Newegg and get a Barton 2500+ $87. Those oveclock really well. As for cooling I suggest you get an SLK800 or SLK900. I use the Smart Fan II variable speed fan. Right now my 1700+ running at 2365mhz is at 40C. The case is at 29C. Good Luck!!!

Answering about my cooling: I have a chieftec case with two 80 mm svc fans in front and the stock (antec?) fans in back; no side fan. I'm using an sk7 with a ys adjustable fan on the processor and (this really helps) a copper icerberc cooler set from svc - cooler on the northrbridge, heat sink on the southbridge. I'm a noob so I took folks' advice all the way. Didn't cost that much. CPU temp 39 at load and about 34 idle. You should do better with an nforce 2 board w/ that sweet agp/pci lock!

Going to try for more tonight - took a couple nights off!

Nice job assassin! Using the same motherboard you have now?

yeah im useing the same KD7-RAID. I havent gone with a nforce 2 board since none of them that I have seen allow me to use an onboard RAID controller with my hard dives as "single" drives. I would RAID my current ones but my western digital is real flaky.
but once an NF2 comes out that allows great OCing (like the NF7-S) but i can use my drives as singles then no problem ill change :)
on a side note........the NF7-s ver. 2.0 does allow you to use single NON-RAID drives on the SATA correct or would i have to RAID them on that thing? (sorry bout the hijack)
