BCD 2000 Inc. has OEM versions of AMD's 2400+ and 2600+ in stock. The 2400 is priced at $203.95 and the 2600 is $322.95, and come with a one year warranty. BCD says that the 2400 is clocked at 1.933GHz, but the review here at AT said that it was clocked at 2GHz. AMD's website also says it's 2GHz, so it seems that BCD's spec is wrong. The 2600 is clocked at 2.133GHz as I expected.

Anyway, BCD's Rating at resellerrating.com is over 9 based on over 120 reviews, so it looks like they are a good company to deal with.

WOW $322 for the 2600! :Q With that P4 2.53 @ < $150 that's really high...well, the P4 2.6 is at $400 so that helps some, but still.

AMD Athlon XP 2600/2400+ - Introducing Thoroughbred Revision B

I agree, AMD has put a high price tag on these. With the paper launch of the 2700+ and 2800+ tomorrow, correction, later today, I think that the 2400 and 2600 will remain at their current prices for a few more weeks. AT's price guide will come out this weekend, so we'll see who has them at the cheapest price soon. Personally, I'm not worried about the price right now. My time frame for upgrading is around Christmas or New Year, and the Thoroughbred B is what I've been looking at. If these are around $150-$175 by then, I'll be happy.

If anyone orders one of these, drop in and let us know how it performs. Peace.

I guess this means it is time to update my sig. I guess that changing it to 2800+ will last me another 3 months.
