24 years old, and I just got my first cavity !

31 and I just got my first two at once. Had them filled today, I guess we caught it early enough that they didn't need to do any novicain/etc, just drilled and filled. Was quick (<5mins for both teeth).

I was nervous as heck beforehand, since I never had one before, but it wasn't bad at all.

<- 20 yrs old. i just had a cavity filled a month ago or something. after i had all my wisdom teeth pulled, the last two molars separated a little and food and stuff getting stuck in the gap caused a cavity. My first and only cavity.

I am in my late 20's and havent gotten one yet. I dread the day I get my 1st (I have seriously had nightmares where I get like 7 at one time). this may sound stupid, can u feel a cavity? did you guys/gals know going in that you had one or was it a surprise at the office?

I had no idea I had one. They did some xrays and suspected a few spots, checked w/ some glowy-red thing and said I had two. At first I suspected fraud, etc, but, that was just me being annoyed because I didn't want to believe it. I still have my doubts, but odds are I did.

I need to get my wisdom teeth out, I already have 2 fillings and a root canal, but it looks I need to more fillings! I'm only 17! I think by 24, I won't have anything except false teeth.

umm... I had my first maybe 2 months ago.. i'm 25.. It was a little black spot on one of my molars. I noticed it when brushing / flossing one day. I don't think you're going to accidentally have 7 at once, esp. if you get 2x yearly dental cleanings.

I had no idea. It was on the back side of one of my upper teeth, no way to see unless you look w/one of those little dental mirrors. Couldn't feel it either. Stupid pos teeth.

<- 23 in the same situation. Now that's sad. That's what I get for eating too much chocolate in the childhood.

I'm 21 and have a ton of fillings 🙁

With my Scottish heritage I always ate tons of sugary crap and love candy :frown: No one would probably believe how much sugar I consume daily but anyhow.

I'd say I have around 12-16 fillings in my back teeth. Probably 2 per large tooth sounds about right. I had four teeth in addition to my wisdom teeth yanked (8 total) otherwise I'd have more.

The four others I got pulled were the third ones out from the back. My teeth in general are too large and couldn't get them to all fit together and be straight. Had four removed and it is still tight after having braces and other crap (took 3 years of work cause my jaw is stubbornly strong).

i can't afford dental work

:frown:

I wouldn't worry Raj, unless it is painful.

Reason I say that is I know a lot of dentists "look" for problems and will drill and fill even the smallest, non-important thing for $$$.

Now if your mouth hurts constantly, then that would constitute a problem.
